Join me for a live, interactive online class where we’ll demystify the art and science of making beautiful herbal lotions and creams.

*No prior formulation experience required. This course is designed for DIY herbalists, beginners, and curious makers who want their creations to actually hold together, feel luxurious, and last.

We’ll walk step-by-step through 2 foundational formulas: 1 lotion and 1 cream, unpacking what each ingredient does and how herbal tinctures, glycerites, vinegars and infused oils can transform a simple emulsion into a deeply nourishing botanical body care product. Along the way, I’ll share the formulation logic I use in professional product development, translated into an approachable, home-lab-friendly process.

✨ Fun fact: Did you know beeswax isn’t actually a true emulsifier? While it’s commonly used in beginner recipes, beeswax is oil-loving (lipophilic) and works as a thickener, not a long-term emulsifier. Those little droplets that eventually appear in homemade creams? That’s your water phase "breaking emulsion." In this class, we’ll talk about why that happens, explore a range of emulsifiers, and work with one of my tried-and-true favorites; the one I’ve used to make dozens of stable, gorgeous creams for myself and botanical product lines nationwide.

Because this is a live Zoom class, you’ll be able to ask questions throughout, troubleshoot in real time, and learn alongside a supportive group of fellow plant lovers + makers. We’ll also do a virtual herb walk, connecting you with the plants traditionally used in topical body care and grounding formulation work in real herbal relationships.
